Show Season is starting to warm up!

Thank you to all of the generous exhibitors and spectators who donated to our Trainer of the Show competition at the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show!

Over the course of the show 28 trainers were nominated and we raised $2,119! This money will be split between the Indiana American Saddlebred Horse Association and the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show.

All of the vendors from the Indianapolis Charity donated to make the prize bucket an $800 value! A special thanks goes out to Howard Schatzberg, Becker Brothers, DeRegnaucourt Ltd, Cheryl Harris, Show Horse Tack, and Hartmeyer Saddlery for donating to the prize.

A big congratulations goes out to Erin Boggs Richey who won the Trainer of the Show voting contest and all of the loot that came with it!

Every year at the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show we take a moment to honor one of our own. A person on our team that always goes above and beyond becomes our Shining Star.

This year’s honoree has been working behind the scenes with the Indianapolis Charity and other Indiana Saddlebred institutions for many years. Not only does she volunteer yearly with the Indianapolis Charity, she can also be found at the Spring Warm-Up, All American Horse Classic, and UPHA Chapter 11 Academy Tournaments.

She was named volunteer of the year for the IASHA in 2016 and is also a current board member. You may have seen her at the Indy Charity providing snacks for the exhibitor tables and you may have received one of her trainer’s welcome buckets.

Today we honor a tireless worker, an invaluable supporter of the Saddlebred breed, and a great friend. Although this individual has never shown a Saddlebred herself, she has established herself as a pillar of the Indiana Saddlebred community.

The Indianapolis Charity Horse Show is honored to name our 2017 Shining Star recipient, Ms. Joanne Twining.

We hope to have her continued support for many years to come!

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers that helped to man the booth at the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show! Your time and effort are greatly appreciated!

We will also be looking for volunteers for the All American Horse Classic! Volunteers are needed that are enthusiastic and outgoing! Your time is one of your most valuable assets!

Points are updated through the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show! Make sure to check them over! Competition is getting fierce!
